Important Deadlines
All undergraduate students are expected to submit a Graduation Petition to the Office of the Registrar approximately one calendar year prior to their expected graduation. Completing your Graduation Petition well in advance of the quarter when you plan to graduate is important for several reasons. It provides an opportunity to make sure that you haven’t overlooked or misunderstood any graduation requirements—and that you and degree auditors in the Office of the Registrar agree on how your courses fit department, school, and university rules. It is also a good opportunity to talk with academic advisers about how you’d like to spend your final year as an undergraduate student.
Students must submit their graduation petition form to the Office of the Registrar by the following deadlines:

All incomplete grades, including ‘K” grades, must be resolved before a student’s graduation. No grade changes are accepted after graduation. All coursework and grades required for a June 2013 graduation must be reflected on the student’s transcript by Friday, July 5, 2013
All coursework and grades required for a August 2013 graduation must be reflected on the student’s transcript by Friday, September 13, 2013
All coursework and grades required for a December 2013 graduation must be reflected on the student’s transcript by Friday, January 10, 2014
All coursework and grades required for a March 2014 graduation must be reflected on the student’s transcript by Friday, April 11, 2014

Double-Counting Rules
Students are strongly encouraged to review the double-counting rules that apply to their major(s) and minor(s) and to discuss them with their adviser(s), if questions arise, before submitting their graduation petition form to the Registrar’s Office.
