Fall 2020 Scheduling

Rescheduling Fall Quarter 2020

  • Fall 2020 meeting times and enrollment/room capacities are no longer accurate. Departments will gather additional information in order to update Fall 2020 class details so that the schedule of classes can be made available in early August.
  • Standard meeting patterns must change to incorporate 20-minute passing periods, affecting the start and end time of classes. This will allow staggered entry/exit from classroom buildings. Classes with standard class meeting times will be updated in CAESAR/CLSS by NUIT.
  • Classroom capacities are reduced because of social distancing requirements - most rooms seat 20-30% of their normal capacity. The majority of general purpose classrooms seat fewer than 15 students under these new restrictions.
  • Additional evening meeting patterns have been added to provide more flexibility.
  • Modes of instruction must be identified and displayed on the class schedule so students can plan accordingly.
